Comprehensive Eye Examinations
A comprehensive eye examination is performed by an optometrist and will involve a thorough examination of all aspects of your vision. Your optometrist will then recommend a treatment plan, customised to your individual needs. This includes prescription lenses, eye exercises, eye drops or ointment, and even surgery if the problem is serious.
Driver Screening & Certificates
A drivers screening can been done in practice and avoids you having to stand in long queues at the licensing office. Once your screening is passed, a drivers screening certificate will be issued which you can take with you for your drivers license booking or renewals.
Glaucoma Screening
Glaucoma is when fluid builds up in the front part of the eye. The extra fluid causes an increase in eye pressure which can lead to blindness.
A glaucoma screening is recommended which detects your risk. While conducting a glaucoma screening, Mrs Davira Chetty uses a tonometer to measure the pressure of your eyes. Advise will be given based on the results found.
Children Eye Examinations
Mrs Davira Chetty has a special interest in kids vision. Her passion for kids seeing at their best in order to perform at their best is her main goal. She has been trained by the Paediatric Training Academy of Optometry to provide best care for her patients. Kids under 12 test FREE.
Skippers / Pilots Vision Screening
Vision is assessed in order to ensure correct visual abilities for the above.
Contact Lens Examination, Fitting and Instruction
Mrs Davira Chetty is a qualified Contact Lens Practitioner which allows her to legally prescribe and dispense contact lenses.
During this service, she will conduct an assessment of the ocular surface to ensure the eye is healthy and compatible with contact lenses.
Contact lenses will be fitted according to the patients requirements, lifestyle and vision.
First time wearers will be taught how to use the lenses responsibly and how to take care of them.

Repairs & Services To Spectacles
Spectacles are used daily and for this reason from time to time it may need some TLC and Distinct Vision is fully equipped to assist with this. From ultrasonic cleaning, to frame adjustments (tightening or loosening) to changing of nose pads, we can do it all. Bring in your spectacles and let it get a spa like treatment.
Vision Screening
Vision screenings are basic eye tests that help identify whether you have any problem with your vision, but does not test for eye diseases or the underlying causes for any vision problem you may have. It does however, indicate whether you should get a comprehensive eye exam, but should not be seen as a substitute for one.
